The summer is finally bidding its goodbyes and the pre-monsoon showers have brought in a much-needed relief from the heat. But these dip in temperatures shouldn't tempt you to cut your skincare routine some slack.

If the summer can lead to terrible breakouts, monsoon is equally capable of causing acne. The humidity levels rise during this season making it a perfect atmosphere for the P.acnes bacteria to thrive on the skin.

High humidity levels can also cause oily skin to turn either oilier or even drier. So to take care of your skin, you need a skincare routine that offers acne-fighting capabilities yet manages to leave your skin hydrated and moisturized as well.

Here are 6 products you must include in your monsoon skincare routine to deal with breakouts and acne.

Oats cleanse the skin without stripping away the moisture while neem helps fight acne due to its anti-microbial activity. The moringa powder rich in Vitamin A offers protection from pollution while Tulsi helps calm inflammation. It also includes aloe vera, allantoin and panthenol (Vit B5) to soothe the skin. All in all, it clarifies and tones the skin well, prepping it for the next step. Available on their website.

Greenie Mill Tea Tree And Niacinamide Serum
This is probably the first natural serum in India that boasts of 5% niacinamide as an active ingredient. Niacinamide aka. Vitamin B3 is well-known for improving our skin’s barrier function, balancing sebum levels and preventing trans-epidermal water loss.
Greenie Mill’s serum has a light texture which absorbs quickly into the skin and helps fight acne and reduce blemishes. Use this at night before you apply your moisturizer. Buy this from their online store greeniemill.com.

Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash Review

I picked up Lakme Kiwi Crush Face Wash in a mall just because of the cute packaging and Green colour. I know it's weird 🙈. Anyway coming back to the review I have been using this face wash consistently over the month of May and June till date. I also carried the face wash with me in the hospital when I got operated for leg implant removal 🙈. Let's dive in and see if the face wash is worth buying.

Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

Brand Claims of Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

Imagine a fruity splash of delight every time you washed your face- That’s exactly how refreshing this feels. This refreshing face wash contains extract with 100% real kiwi, a delicious fruity fragrance and soft cleansing beads that burst on your skin for your daily dose of freshness. The gel cleanser gently lifts away impurities and gives you an ultimate fruity fresh experience.

Ingredients of Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

Aqua, Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance, Micro Crystalline Wax, Sodium Hydroxide, Menthol, DMDM Hydantoin, Citric Acid, Kiwi Fruit Extract, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Agar, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Iodopropynyl Butyl Carbamate, CI 47005, CI 77499, CI 42090, Limonene

Packaging, Consistency and Fragrance of Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash
The packaging is tube one with a flip top cap. The packaging is green in colour in an see through tube. The fragrance of the face wash feels very artificial and smells a bit like kiwi. The consistency is thick gel sort which is light green in colour. The face wash also contains black granules to resemble the kiwi seeds. I hate this thing about commercial face washes. Although if we rub them between palms they foam and vanish.

My experience with Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

The face wash doesn't foam much and we need a very little quantity for each use, pea sized to be precise for each use. I have been using the face wash since one and half months and I have 1/2 of it remaining so this lasts long that is 3 months one tube. I use the face wash just once a day, usually in the evening or at night before hitting the bed.

Coming to the efficiency, the face wash cleanses well and leaves a bright and soft skin while doing so. I use only once a day so cannot say if it dries out the skin or not. But most of the foaming cleansers dry out the skin when used more than twice a day. Also the face wash gets washed off easily without the slippery feeling accompanied with the foam.

Also while using the face wash I haven't experienced a single breakout. Am saying this because there were times in May month where I was unable to follow a skincare routine and all I did was keep my face clean by using this face wash. And so it does a good job of keeping the face clean and keeping the sebum away for few hours. Overall am impressed with the face wash and would suggest you to pick this up if you like using foaming face washes. Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash won't suit sensitive skin at all since it contains fragrance as one of the ingredients and is in quite earlier in the list.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 85 INR for 50 gms with a shelf life of 3 years. Available easily online in India. Get on discount here

Recommendation of Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

I personally like using the Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash as a change from powder cleansers, especially when I didn't have the time and patience to use powder cleansers due to hectic schedule in May and June. It is a good option to keep the skin clean and it also reduced my breakouts to a great extent. However the fragrance of the face wash is too much to order handle which feels very artificial and this face wash absolutely won't suit sensitive skin.

Project Pan July 2019

Hoarding skincare is a sin I have been committing since many years. But not anymore, I do get tempted and sometimes buy products, but one thing I have also been doing is emptying products on a regular basis and writing a post about them. Project Pan I had heard in case of Make-up wherein you hit a pan of a makeup item, compact or eyeshadow or something else. Although I do feel Project Pan in case of makeup is different as well as difficult as compared to skincare 😉😁. I was highly inspired to do this by my fellow bloggers Archana from ibeautyspy.com and Hiral from pepilio.com

What is Project Pan?
As stated earlier Please Pan is hitting the pan of the makeup or skincare product. In this case am attempting a project pan so as to empty the product.

Why am I doing a Project Pan?
I am doing Project Pan so as to use the products regularly as well as review them, yes review them. Most often I use a product half way and then forget about it, then again I remember I use again. Once I think of review I use the product regularly and then after posting a review I usually forget and get back to another one. I really want to stop this and hoarding skincare.

Which products are on my Project Pan list?
So I have decided to do a July 2019 Project Pan as June is mid way and I can't finish the products till June end. Why have unrealistic expectations 😄?? Following products are on my list. I have kept the number of products minimum since am doing this for the first time.

1) The Nature's Co Multi Vitamin Facial Massage Cream
Only one time use product is left in the tub. It has been lying like this since last year so I have added it to Pan list.

2) Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree and Charcoal Mask
Archana had gifted me this last year and I often forget to use it. I have also planned a review for this.

3) SoulTree Moisturizing Gel
I have been using this since last year and have also reviewed it. I wish to finish this ASAP so I can concentrate on some other moisturizers also.

4) Lakme Blush And Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash
I have been using this all through May month and it's half way through. I will soon be posting a review of this too.

5) Svayam Urad Face Pack
A very little quantity is remaining of this product and it has been lying in drawer. So I wish to use it up and reuse the glass jar for one of my balms.

6)BioBloom Natural Cleansing Milk
I love using cleansing milk on a regular basis so I bought this at a very low price from Instagram account by one of my fellow bloggers Meenal. I love this product and will be posting a review.

This was my Project Pan July 2019 and I will be posting another post in July once I finish these products. I really wish that I stick to this and help in clearing my stash.
