Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash

I picked up Lakme Kiwi Crush Face Wash in a mall just because of the cute packaging and Green colour. I know it's weird 🙈. Anyway coming back to the review I have been using this face wash consistently over the month of May and June till date. I also carried the face wash with me in the hospital when I got operated for leg implant removal 🙈. Let's dive in and see if the face wash is worth buying.

Brand Claims and Ingredients

Packaging, Consistency and Fragrance
The packaging is tube one with a flip top cap. The packaging is green in colour in an see through tube. The fragrance of the face wash feels very artificial and smells a bit like kiwi. The consistency is thick gel sort which is light green in colour. The face wash also contains black granules to resemble the kiwi seeds. I hate this thing about commercial face washes. Although if we rub them between palms they foam and vanish.

My experience
The face wash doesn't foam much and we need a very little quantity for each use, pea sized to be precise for each use. I have been using the face wash since one and half months and I have 1/2 of it remaining so this lasts long that is 3 months one tube. I use the face wash just once a day, usually in the evening or at night before hitting the bed.

Coming to the efficiency, the face wash cleanses well and leaves a bright and soft skin while doing so. I use only once a day so cannot say if it dries out the skin or not. But most of the foaming cleansers dry out the skin when used more than twice a day. Also the face wash gets washed off easily without the slippery feeling accompanied with the foam.

Also while using the face wash I haven't experienced a single breakout. Am saying this because there were times in May month where I was unable to follow a skincare routine and all I did was keep my face clean by using this face wash. And so it does a good job of keeping the face clean and keeping the sebum away for few hours. Overall am impressed with the face wash and would suggest you to pick this up if you like using foaming face washes. Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash won't suit sensitive skin at all since it contains fragrance as one of the ingredients and is in quite earlier in the list.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 85 INR for 50 gms with a shelf life of 3 years. Available easily online in India. Get on discount here

Recommendation
I personally like using the Lakme Blush and Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash as a change from powder cleansers, especially when I didn't have the time and patience to use powder cleansers due to hectic schedule in May and June. It is a good option to keep the skin clean and it also reduced my breakouts to a great extent. However the fragrance of the face wash is too much to order handle which feels very artificial and this face wash absolutely won't suit sensitive skin.

Project Pan July 2019

Hoarding skincare is a sin I have been committing since many years. But not anymore, I do get tempted and sometimes buy products, but one thing I have also been doing is emptying products on a regular basis and writing a post about them. Project Pan I had heard in case of Make-up wherein you hit a pan of a makeup item, compact or eyeshadow or something else. Although I do feel Project Pan in case of makeup is different as well as difficult as compared to skincare 😉😁. I was highly inspired to do this by my fellow bloggers Archana from ibeautyspy.com and Hiral from pepilio.com

What is Project Pan?
As stated earlier Please Pan is hitting the pan of the makeup or skincare product. In this case am attempting a project pan so as to empty the product.

Why am I doing a Project Pan?
I am doing Project Pan so as to use the products regularly as well as review them, yes review them. Most often I use a product half way and then forget about it, then again I remember I use again. Once I think of review I use the product regularly and then after posting a review I usually forget and get back to another one. I really want to stop this and hoarding skincare.

Which products are on my Project Pan list?
So I have decided to do a July 2019 Project Pan as June is mid way and I can't finish the products till June end. Why have unrealistic expectations 😄?? Following products are on my list. I have kept the number of products minimum since am doing this for the first time.

1) The Nature's Co Multi Vitamin Facial Massage Cream
Only one time use product is left in the tub. It has been lying like this since last year so I have added it to Pan list.

2) Juicy Chemistry Tea Tree and Charcoal Mask
Archana had gifted me this last year and I often forget to use it. I have also planned a review for this.

3) SoulTree Moisturizing Gel
I have been using this since last year and have also reviewed it. I wish to finish this ASAP so I can concentrate on some other moisturizers also.

4) Lakme Blush And Glow Kiwi Crush Face Wash
I have been using this all through May month and it's half way through. I will soon be posting a review of this too.

5) Svayam Urad Face Pack
A very little quantity is remaining of this product and it has been lying in drawer. So I wish to use it up and reuse the glass jar for one of my balms.

6)BioBloom Natural Cleansing Milk
I love using cleansing milk on a regular basis so I bought this at a very low price from Instagram account by one of my fellow bloggers Meenal. I love this product and will be posting a review.

This was my Project Pan July 2019 and I will be posting another post in July once I finish these products. I really wish that I stick to this and help in clearing my stash.

The Soap Factory Activated Charcoal Face Pack Review

I had ordered The Soap Factory Activated Charcoal Face Pack along with the handmade soaps they have. Since I love using handmade soaps I thought I would pick up something else from their range and picked up this one. I have been using a lot of detoxifying face packs lately although that wasn't planned and is just a coincidence.

Brand Claims and Ingredients

Packaging, Colour, Consistency
The packaging is simple with a paper pouch and zip lock. We need to take out required quantity and use the product. Due care is to taken with such packaging like locking the zip pouch tightly and keeping it away from moisture and humidity. The colour of the face pack is dark grey (since it contains charcoal) and consistency is fine powder. Once we mix the dry powder in water it turns out into a smooth paste. While applying we need to make a smooth paste so that application becomes easy and we can apply a uniform layer on the face.

My experience
The face pack when applied in a thin uniform layer takes less time to dry up. I sometimes apply a thin layer or a thick layer depending on the amount of product I take for a single usage. The face pack leaves the skin squeaky clean with a nice glow on the face.

The face pack gives the skin a nice cleansing effect with a soft and smooth skin. The face pack doesn't dry out the skin at all. It does give a little tingling effect to the skin which goes off in a few seconds without notice. The face packs also gets washed off easily without any hassle and doesn't leave a black film on face.

One thing I have noticed everytime I use the face pack is that my nostrils flare up once I wash off the face pack. I feel a little tingling sensation and itchy feeling in my nostrils everytime I use it. I don't know why this happens. Overall speaking the face pack is a good option to detoxify and cleanse the face on a regular basis.

Price and Availability - 295 INR for 50 gms available on Instagram shop @thesoapfactoryindia

Recommendation
The Soap Factory Activated Charcoal Face Pack is a good face pack to try out for it's detoxifying and purifying properties. I could clearly see the effects of the glowing skin after each use. Moreover the face pack is in dry form so you don't have to worry about the expiration of the product. Also you can carry a small amount of the product in another container while travelling just like I did.

Greenie Mill Charcoal, Lavender Rhassoul Clay Mask Review

I had been lazy with my skincare routine as stated in my previous reviews. I hadn't used a mask since around 1 month to be specific and my skin was really acting up in April due to lack of negligence and proper routine. During this time I decided to put the Greenie Mill Charcoal, Lavender Rhassoul Clay Mask to test so as to gauge it's efficiency. Let's check the review.

Brand Claims
Fed up with acne and dull oily skin? Our charcoal lavender and rhassoul clay face mask keeps breakouts at bay with the anti bacterial power of essential oils. The brightening properties of this mask help to deal with fresh acne spots. This gentle and effective clay mask comes to rescue for your oily skin related problems!!!

Ingredients
Moroccan lava clay (Rhassoul clay), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf(Aloe vera ) powder, Charcoal powder, Kaolin (White Clay), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Buds, Melaleuca Alterniflora (Tea Tree) Oil, Ocimum Basilicum (Sweet Basil) Oil, Thymus Vulgaris(Thyme) oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The packaging is simple plastic jar with a black lid. We need to scoop out the product with a wooden or plastic spoon. The jar is small and leak proof so no chances of spillage or anything like that. Also the fragrance of the product is amazing ✨. I feel like eating it sometimes. The faint hint of lavender coupled with basil, is quite alluring and everytime I put on the mask I resist my urge to not eat it.

My experience
So as stated before, my skin easily breaking out like anything in April. I hardly had time to take care of my skin due to hectic schedule. When I started using the mask my skin was breaking out heavily on forehead area. As and when u started using the mask weekly once I noticed improvement in my skin.

My skin appeared clear and clean. I am currently facing no single breakout phase. The mask deeply cleanses the skin and detoxifies it. It pulls out all the impurities and leaves a clear, fresh and clean skin. I thoroughly enjoyed using the mask and will be using it regularly henceforth.

The mask doesn't get applied in a uniform layer on the face. Sometimes it falls and we need to apply carefully a thin layer. Sometimes I mix the mask in lukewarm water so the oats in it turn mushy and help in applying a uniform layer. Overall speaking I am not a fan of the consistency but am definitely fan of the efficiency of the mask.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 215 INR for 50 gms with a shelf life of 6 months. Available online on Greeniemill.com

Recommendation
I really like the Greenie Mill Charcoal, Lavender Rhassoul Clay Mask for reducing the breakouts on my skin and giving me back my clear skin. I really like to indulge in this mask for it's detoxifying and purifying properties. Although I don't like the way we can't apply it in a uniform layer on the skin. But keeping in mind the efficiency this part is negligible according to me. It is one of those charcoal masks which really works, is affordable and helps you in getting clear skin.

Skincare, Bodycare Empties #16

I couldn't empty some products last month as I was very busy with my shop on Instagram. It was so hectic that I also hardly had any time to follow a proper skincare routine. Anyway, I still have managed to empty the products over a span of two months that is March and April and goin to post about it now.

Juvena Herbals Gold Saffron massage cream
My absolute favorite massage cream which not only nourishes the skin but also make sit smooth and glowing. I might pick up again once I clear out my stash of massage creams.

Plum Green Tea Toner
I have a love and hate relationship with this toner. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't like it. I don't know why and how I don't feel like using it on a regular basis. Also the instructions say that we need to gently swipe the toner on face, this I hadn't read and I was using it wrong all the time. Also I do pat it sometimes on my skin and am good to go. The bottle will last you longer than thought so if you like using a toner plus grab this.

Prakrta Aloe Gel
My absolute favorite gel which I also used for one of my skincare DIY. I also use it on a daily basis whenever I am at home. Overall a good aloe gel to pickup if you are looking for one.

My ultimate favourite cleanser which I used up during the whole month of April. Please excuse the leaking of the Cleanser since the packaging is not up to the mark. Although the brand has changed the packaging and I can't wait to pick up my next bottle. I already have another one so I will use up it before grabbing new packaging.

Sachi Rituals Earthy Elements Face Mask
A good face mask if you are looking for a change. I used it on my body too for a detox sort of a thing and it made me feel very refreshed.

Nature's Destiny Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion
A good budget friendly body lotion to grab during the summer season. I like how it hydrates the skin without making it feel greasy.

So that's all for the previous two months empties. Am working on a few new blog posts and don't forget to check the blog often.

Imiana House Rosehip and Argan Serum Review

I received the Imiana House Rosehip and Argan Serum during the month of February when summers just started. I was using it diligently everyday as a part of my night routine. As summers kicked in full swing, I couldn't apply the serum since I sweat a lot. Also I was concentrating more on acne reduction rather than removing pigmentation or working on scars. So I didn't use the serum for two months. Now that my acne has stopped completely I am back to using this product. Read on to know what issues this serum tackled for me.

Brand Claims and Ingredients

Packaging
The packaging is blue amber coloured glass bottle. The dropper works fine in dispensing the product. The packaging is non travel friendly, but serums are ought to be stored in glass bottles only. So no complains as far as packaging for s concerned. Also I hardly ever carry an oil based serum during travels.

Texture, Fragrance and Colour
The texture of the serum is light oily and it spreads very easily across the skin and leaves no sticky residue behind. The fact that you need just 2 drops for your whole face speak a lot about the spread ability of the serum. The fragrance is that of a prickly pear oil, also being did that am assuming, since I have never sniffed prickly pear oil fragrance. The colour of the serum is bright yellow and it doesn't leave any hue on face.

My experience
Since I have used the serum over a period of different time, I would like to sum up the review like that. Initially the serum didn't show prominent results and I was using it daily so that my skin gets used to the serum. However again after including it in my skincare routine since past 2 weeks I am noticing a lot of difference in the texture of my skin. The texture is soft and even. I noticed a lot of difference in lightening of pigmentation around my mouth and that of acne marks. I am currently using the serum on my stitches which have left marks on my ankle and hope for good effects.

The serum needed for each use is very little so this bottle would last longer than thought. Only two drops are enough for whole face and if we use more than two drops the face feels oily. Also the serum is very light weight and gets absorbed into the skin with a few light strokes. I haven't noticed a difference in the acne scars yet and might need to use long term for around 6 months to notice a difference.

Regarding the price of the serum, all the ingredients are USDA certified organic which makes the price soar up but you can definitely rely on the quality ingredients which go into making the serum. Also the serum contain prickly pear seed oil which is costly, plus the brand has used an USDA certified organic.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 1450 INR for 15ml with a shelf life of 6 months. Available online on imianahouse.com, qtrove.com

Recommendation
Overall speaking Imiana House Rosehip and Argan Serum is a good option to reduce the pigmentation on face. It has shown effects within 4 weeks and has surely helped me in getting a clear skin sans pigmentation and acne marks. The only thing to consider would be the high price point due to the USDA certified organic ingredients used and prickly pear seed oil being one of them. The product stays true to it's claims of reducing the pigmentation. It has definitely brightened my complexion. However it would take some more time to show effects on acne scars and since I don't have any wrinkles I can't comment on the claim.

Nivea Face Wash Milk Delights Fine Gramflour Review

I am an ardent lover of cleansers, be it any type. Initially it was just foaming cleansers but now I like to try oil cleansers, balm consistency ones and gel to milk ones too. As you all know powder cleansers are my eternal love. But once in a while I do like to use foaming cleansers especially when am in a hurry or am home just after spending some hectic day outside. So I picked up Nivea Face Wash Milk Delights in gram flour variant from a mall so that I could review it on blog.

Brand Claims and Ingredients

Packaging
The packaging is cute and bottle is shaped in the form of a drop. The flip cap top fits in tightly and size of packaging is very compact and travel friendly. The nozzle of the face wash is small which dispenses small amount of face wash at a time. A little goes a long way in case of this face wash.

Texture and Consistency
The texture of the face wash is milky, smooth and consistency is neither thin nor runny. It is similar to a milk cream. The face wash has some yellow particles in it which are representation of gram flour. The particles dissolve once we foam the face wash.

My experience
The face wash lathers quite nicely although not much foamy one but later is quite rich. The foam disperses when it comes in contact with water. The instructions say that we need to gently apply to wet face and neck. I usually take it on palm and lather a bit and apply to face and work up for a few seconds and then wash off. The face wash cleanses the skin nicely and gives an instant glow to the face.

Although I don't use the face wash more than twice a day, on some days I have used it twice a day and experienced little dryness. The face wash is good for a basic cleansing job. It gives soft, smooth and glowing skin post usage.

Let's talk about the fragrance, the fragrance is overtly artificial and strong. Although it doesn't linger much after using so that's not much of a problem. I would not recommend any variant from this range for sensitive skin people. Overall speaking it is just another face wash which cleanses the skin and gives glowing skin for some time. If you like using different variant of foaming cleansers then go for this one. Also it has parabens, so if you don't mind any parabens go grab this.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 85 INR for 50 ml. Available online as well as in stores. Has four variants for Oily skin has gramflour variant, dry skin has honey variant, sensitive skin has rosewater and normal skin has saffron variant.

Recommendation
If you like using different foaming cleansers then would suggest picking up Nivea Face Wash Milk Delights range as per your skin type. The face wash has a strong fragrance so please avoid if you have sensitive skin. Also the cute, compact and travel friendly packaging is a big yes from my side. If you are someone who avoids parabens, artificial fragrances, colours in skincare products then you can skip this range altogether.

Fiducia Botanical Skincare Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion Review

I received Fiducia Botanical Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion by Utkarshini as a New Year gift. I was honestly very surprised, happy and grateful at the same time when I received it. Initially I didn't use it as I was testing out some other products. Now after using it for a few weeks I am ready to post my experience.

Brand Claims
Made with hemp seed oil , black cumin seed oil and pure hydrosols of rose otto and tea tree. This lightweight lotion is ideal for oily and acne prone skin , it helps in replenishing lost moisture and prevents further acne and soothes inflammation due to it being rich in linoleic acid. Also , its non comodogenic , so it wont clog your pores. Enriched with licorice and hibiscus extracts , this also helps in lightening of acne scars.

Ingredients

Packaging
The product is housed in an amber coloured pump up glass bottle. I never had a problem with the packaging and it works fine for me. I prefer such small packaging since they are easy to travel with, although with glass you need to be little careful. The nozzle dispenses correct amount of facial lotion. All you need is one pump of facial lotion for entire face and another one for neck and decollete area.

Texture and Consistency
The name says it all, it's a lotion. It's a creamy lotion, I would say and not the runny one which just hydrates your skin. The consistency is on the creamier side with texture being of lotion. It easily dispenses via the pump.

My experience
The fragrance of the Fiducia Botanical Skincare Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion is little nutty and am not very fond of it to be honest. Although the fragrance isn't much lingering or over powering.

The facial lotion gets absorbed in the skin like a charm, just a couple of light massage and boom it disappears into the skin without any stickiness and greasy feeling. I like how just one pump of product is enough for the whole face and another one for neck and decollete area. The product required for exactly usage is very, very little and hence the product lasts longer than thought.

Coming to the efficiency, the facial lotion has immense moisturizing properties so if you apply more than one pump at a time be ready to sweat a lot. I sweated a lot initially when I used more than one pump of lotion. Also according to me the lotion in itself is so moisturizing that you won't feel like using a serum underneath it.

Now coming to the claim made by the brand, the product really does calm acne and the inflammation. While initially I didn't notice a difference in the acne or anything. After having a cystic acne on cheek and forehead I really cannot stop raving about the lotion. While my cystic acne was big and under the skin and about to surface, I applied the lotion during day. I almost forgot about the cystic acne on my cheek only to realize that it vanished without a mark. How cool is that 😀. Again when I had some acne on forehead, cystic acne vanished and the ones which had already developed (due to not using the lotion regularly) matured in one day and then vanished slowly. The product helps in healing the acne fast and helps in prevention to some extent.

So in my case acne developed due to non consistent skincare routine and were reduced by Fiducia Botanical Skincare Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion. So overall speaking if you have oily acne prone skin and if you get breakouts often then do give Fiducia Botanical Skincare Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion a try.

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 950 INR for 30gms with a shelf life of 6 months. Available online for orders.

Recommendation
Fiducia Botanical Skincare Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion is good moisturizer for oily acne prone skin as it moisturizes the skin while reducing the breakouts. It also helps in healing the cystic acne faster than thought. The only thing you need to keep in mind while using this lotion is that very little goes a long way in moisturizing. So beware of using more than one pump for face. Overall a moisturizer which can be used during day as well as night for oily skinned beauties. Am currently eyeing their Lavender Cream Cleanser so this will be repurchasing once I finish my current stash.

Dot & Key Hand Cream: Sanitizer+Moisturizer (Mandarin & Lime) Review

I often carry a hand sanitizer with me while going out, but I seldom carry a hand cream. Rather to be honest I don't own a single hand cream till date. I do apply body lotion on hands but often forget to take care of them. You bet I have even applied a mask to my hands in ages. Talking about a hand sanitizer and moisturizer from Dot and Key in today's post.

Brand Claims and Ingredients

My experience
The packaging is cute and handy to carry. Packaging is similar to the overall packaging of Dot and Key brand with pastels and light colored theme product packaging. The tubs packaging is good to use since most hand creams have tub packaging which I don't prefer.

The cream has a subtle fragrance which is citrus and not too overpowering or lingering. I like how the fragrance isn't strong and non lingering as well.

Coming to the consistency of the hand cream it's more of thin consistency and light weight in texture too. The hand cream is more on the hydrating side rather than the moisturizing side. It spreads easily on the skin and gets absorbed even more quickly as we slather it.

Now the main part, the brand claims this hand cream to be a sanitizer plus moisturizer for hands as am not so happy with this. A normal sanitizer itself has many chemicals and when it comes to moisturizing the hands I prefer a normal hand cream or body lotion. However the hand cream is a rescue when you don't carry a sanitizer or forget to carry a separate hand cream. Especially during travels the product can be very useful since it doubles up as a sanitizer as well as a moisturizer for hands. The moisturizing effect lasts for about 2-4 hours depending on how often you wash your hands on how frequently do you use a hand cream. I would recommend the Dot & Key Hand Cream: Sanitizer+Moisturizer as a travel companion rather than a day to day product.

The In
  • Contains anti-bacterials as well as moisturizing jojoba and shea actives that offer hydration
  • It is an alcohol free sanitizer formula which also prevents hands from drying out
  • Citrusy fragrance of mandarin and lime makes hands smell and feel fresh
  • No parabens, sulphates, alcohol & other nasties

Recommendation
Dot & Key Hand Cream: Sanitizer+Moisturizer is good option as a product since it serves dual purpose of sanitizer as well as moisturizer for hands. This especially comes in handy while travelling since we tend to carry light during travels. I would recommend the Dot & Key Hand Cream: Sanitizer+Moisturizer as a travel companion rather than a day to day use product.

Satthwa Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review, Price

I have had chronic dandruff for years. And I wouldn't lie that I was scared to get rid of it by using commercial anti dandruff shampoos. The amount of hair fall commercial shampoos give post using on scalp did scare me. After having a good experience with Satthwa Moroccan Argan Shampoo Oil I didn't even think for a second before ordering third Anti Dandruff shampoo. After using it for around 1 month (2 washes per week) here is my review.

Brand Claims
Our anti-dandruff shampoo is made from the goodness of Argan oil, Almond oil, Jojoba oil etc and is also infused with essential oils like Lemon oil and Tea Tree oil. These natural ingredients will keep your scalp nourished while being tough on dandruff.

We have used 100% pure Tea Tree essential oil (Melaleuca oil) which is known for its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties & Lemon oil which is known to fight dandruff since ages. Together they help fight dandruff and nourish your scalp.

Ingredients

Let me first let you know that my hair is dry, frizzy, thick with oily scalp. I wash my hair twice a week without oiling my hair. If I apply any oil to the scalp it becomes excessively oily and requires lot of shampoo to wash off the oi. So I don't oil my hair before a wash.

Packaging
The product is packed in a plastic see through bottle. When I received my order today from Amazon, the pump was separate and we needed to remove the cap and assemble the pump on bottle. Overall it's a good packaging wherein we can see the quantity of the shampoo.

Consistency and fragrance
The shampoo has a citrus fragrance and is very runny in consistency. The texture is gooey with opaque colour.

My experience
While using for the first time, I diluted the shampoo in water and it just cleaned the scalp to some extent and I could notice reduced flaky scalp. Second time as usual I used diluting the shampoo so the effects weren't much visible but I could notice slightly reduced dandruff. Third wash I decided to directly use the shampoo on my scalp and see the effects. The shampoo reduces the dandruff effectively and slowly. I noticed that the dandruff on the back side of my head was totally gone but crown part of my head still had some dandruff.

Again for another hair wash cycle I used the shampoo on my crown area and it totally reduced the dandruff and I couldn't help but praise the brand to come up with such an effective product. Every time I washed my hair, I used the shampoo twice on my hair and I shampooed my scalp and not hair. Although the product reduces dandruff effectively, it leaves the hair rather in weird condition. I could notice how my hair is neither clean nor dirty. I mean am unable to understand the condition of my hair.

Also when I massage the shampoo on the scalp a good amount of hair fall is experienced. I find this pretty normal thing, whenever I used to oil my hair, I experienced the same thing. Plus many commercial shampoos bring in a lot of hairfall. So compared to the hair fall which commercial anti Dandruff shampoos cause, Satthwa Anti Dandruff shampoo doesn't cause much hairfall.

Also once I have a gap of 5 days or more in between two washes, my scalp becomes oily and I can notice some dandruff already. So keeping the dandruff in check is basically what Satthwa Anti Dandruff shampoo does. Also the brand claims to that the product is tough on dandruff and gentle on scalp which is very true in my case. Overall am happy that my hair is dandruff free and am on my way to get rid of it by using this shampoo continuously. If I don't wash hair for many days the dandruff and itchiness returns to some extent which am ok as my dandruff was very chronic.

The In
Product stays true to it's claims for being tough on dandruff and gentle on scalp
Contains Almond Oil, Moroccan Argan Oil, Aloe Vera Extracts, Glycerin, Lemon and Tea tree essential oils
Doesn't give much hairfall compared to commercial anti dandruff shampoos
Free from parabens, sulphates
Doesn't have any lingering fragrance

The Out
Consistency is very runny, which makes diluting in water utterly useless

Price, Shelf life and Availability - 499 INR for 200ml with a shelf life of 2 years. Available online on Amazon.in as well as Satthwa website

Recommendation
If you are looking for an effective, safe yet affordable anti dandruff shampoo, then give Satthwa Anti Dandruff shampoo a try. It will reduce the dandruff gradually without causing much hairfall. Moreover the formula is paraben, sulphate free, so if you are into sulphate free shampoos they this is a must try for anti dandruff.

Review | Vya Naturals Caffeine Under Eye Cream With Green Coffee Extracts

I have dark under eye area since long time. Due to reduced eye sight, my eye area was strained since years. After getting operated for the specs my under eye was darkened a bit. I tried a couple of under eye creams to reduce the darkness but to no avail. Moreover I often forgot to use an eye cream so buying another one wasn't on priority list. Vya Naturals recently has an offer on the trial packs of their products wherein this under eye cream was at just 100 INR for 10g with no free shipping and no COD charges, you bet i immediately availed the offer. After using the cream for 40 days here is my review.

Brand Claims
  • POWERFUL LINES AND PUFFINESS REDUCTION: Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream reduces puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles in the delicate skin around the eye area.
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY BRIGHTENING AGENTS like caffeine rich green tea and green coffee extracts de-puff and reduce swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles
  • RESTORE & REJUVENATE - Moisturize and hydrate under eye skin with rosemary oil and avocado oil while fighting signs of aging.
  • ANTI-AGEING BENEFITS: Thanks to presence of Vit E and Rosehip Oil.
  • 100% PURE - no petrochemicals or other toxins
  • PERFECT FOR: All skin types, lines and wrinkles, dark circles

Ingredients

My experience
The trial pack of under eye cream is in plastic tub form whereas full size is available in a UV protected amber coloured pump up bottle. The full size pack is 30ml.

The cream has a medium consistency which is neither too thick nor too thin. The colour is creamy which no added fragrance and no essential oils. The cream glides easily on the under eye area and gets absorbed as we glide the fingers in circular motion on the under eye area. If we apply the cream in excess quantity, it takes some time to sink in but still leaves no sticky residue or oiliness. The best part of the eye cream is that it is fragrance free, which means it might suit sensitive eyes too, although am not sure.

Coming to the efficiency, as stated before I have dark under eyes which are very prominent, so I didn't expect the cream to reduce the darkness or do something miraculous to the under eye area. After about having zero expectations from this cream and still using it continuously for 40 days, my under eye area darkness has reduced by 45-50 %. The under eye area is no longer that prominent as it was earlier. I have oily eye lids and they too were dark before using this cream. I can clearly see the difference in the reduced darkness of my eyelids. The puffiness of eyelids and waterline has also reduced to a great extent especially when I get up in the morning, am able to notice a good difference. Although the overall appearance of my under eye area is same, just reduced darkness is all I can notice. I can't see any visible effects on fine lines of my eye area.

My mom was here with me for one week and she too could notice reduced under eye bags and darkness. So a big yayyy from my Mom and am all happy about the effects this cream has no my under eye area. Let's check the other details of the same.

The In
Glides easily on the eye are
Gets absorbed easily into the skin
Hydrates and moisturizes the eye area well
Can be worn under eye makeup
Reduces the darkness considerably
Reduces puffiness to a good extent
Has zero fragrance and tint or colour
Super affordable trial pack available currently

The Out
30ml of full size eye cream is too much quantity

Price, Shelf Life and Availability - 750 INR for 30ml, 275 INR for 10g with a shelf life of one and half year. Available online and Vya Naturals website.

Recommendation
After having zero expectations from Vya Naturals Caffeine Under Eye Cream With Green Coffee Extracts am happy to see visible changes in the darkness and puffiness of my under eye area. Moreover I picked up the cream at just 100 INR with free shipping and no COD charges so it's like a cherry on top of the cake to be honest. My only concern was reducing the darkness of under eye area and that is what this eye cream has provided. So I would recommend picking you up the trial pack to see if this cream suits you and solves your under eye area problems. I will stock up trail pack again.

Best Light Weight Moisturizers For Oily, Acne Prone Skin

If you have oily skin you might find any other cream to be heavy. I recently have written a post about getting rid of white heads, black heads and pores. Ever since switching to light weight moisturizers or aloe gel my skin has been in a great condition. Also this change has reduced my white heads and pores. So today am listing down the light weight moisturizers for oily, acne prone skin. This is a requested post so please feel free to send the post to friends and share on social media.

Gulnare Aloe Vitamin E Cream
Gulnare Aloe Vitamin E Cream is perfect for day to day use in summers. I have used this cream last year and I swear by it's ultimate hydrating effects. It is fortified with aloe, vitamin E and cucumber extracts. The product is organic and easily available on major shopping portals as well as on gulnareskincare.com
Price - 700 INR for 60 gms

ENN Rose Ultra Light Hydrating Creme
I haven't personally tried this creme but looking at the ingredients list the creme seems like a winner for oily acne prone skin. It is fortified with Aloe Vera Gel, Glycerin, Jojoba oil, real rose oil and Vitamin E. Am sure it is a light weight gel like Gulnare Aloe Vitamin E Cream
Price - 750 INR for 50 gms

Mcaffeine Neem Caffeine Glow Gel With Aloe Vera
The Mcaffine Neem Caffeine Glow Gel is exactly like an Aloe Vera gel, gets absorbed instantly into the skin without leaving any sticky or greasy feeling. This gel imparts an instant glow to the skin and hydrates extensively. The ingredients include Argan Oil, Neem, Cucumber Extracts, Gel base, Aloe Vera. I however don't like the fragrance it has, some might find the fragrance to be overpowering. If your skin is sensitive as well I would suggest skipping this one
Price - 449 for 50 ml

SoulTree Tulsi & Sandalwood Moisturizing Gel
My ultimate favourite day time gel has to be SoulTree Tulsi & Sandalwood Moisturizing Gel. I have used it during rough phase of my skin and it has proved to be beneficial. I am about to buy another one once I empty current one. It contains neem, sandalwood, lodhra, Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel. The price point is a bit high according to the quantity of the gel. However, I have also experienced the tightening effects of this gel on my skin. So if you don't mind the price would suggest picking up.
Price - 450 INR for 40 ml

Plum Green Tea Clarity Renewed Night Gel
This is a night gel recommendation and if your skin isn't sensitive would suggest giving Plum Green Tea Clarity Renewed Night Gel a try. I have been using this since past 4-5 months and my skin actually experiences lesser breakouts as compared to other night creams I was using. Fortified with aloe vera juice, Glycolic Acid, liquorice extracts, Green Tea extracts, Willow Bark extracts and Goji Fruit extracts, this night gel is a dream come true for oily skin.
Price - 575 INR for 50 gms

Apart from the above list am listing down some popular light weight moisturizers for oily skin which are hit among the masses. Suganda White Lotus Moisturizer didn't suit me much as it caused a lot of purging. However many oily skinned beauties like this moisturizer a lot.

Another moisturizer am testing out currently is Fiducia Botanicals Hemp & Rose Otto Facial Lotion. It is a good light weight moisturizer with organic ingredients. Another one which I like is Votre Absolute Hydration Moisturizer which is parabens free and is pocket friendly as well.

Another one is Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream. I love to use this once in a while or as a break to gel moisturisers.

So these are my picks for light weight gel moisturizers for oily, acne prone skin. Using gel moisturizers has been a game changer for my skin and I would suggest you to make a switch as well if you are looking for reducing white heads and pores.
