Lovelylifestyle(dot)com shopping experience and website review

With the recent organic and natural products wave, many of us knowingly or unknowingly look at the ingredients list when buying new products. With each, single passing year we can see a new brand emerging with organic and natural products. Whenever we buy from a website, there is a mix of 'with chemicals' and 'organic and natural' products.

How would you feel if a website is dedicated to just paraben free, organic and natural products? Nice, right, it would ease up as well as speed up the process of shopping, if you are interested in buying such products. Since you don't have to check the ingredients list, see whether they are paraben free, organic, natural and then decide whether to buy or not. Everything sorted out!!!! The website we will be talking about is Lovelylifestyle.com Let's head onto the review of website and my shopping experience.

The website has neat and clean design, easy to navigate and quite user friendly. The website isn't glamorous or does not have some funky colour scheme. Rather the website has a brown theme which depicts the colour of soil 😊😊😊. The website has a wide range of products from most of the cruelty free brands, right from our desi Ma Earth Botanicals to Videshi Vichy 😎😎😎. The website also spans a wide range of products' categories right from skincare to home decor. All in all you can shop right for your home till your skincare. The website not only caters to women's needs but also to men's. The have a men's section also which is a rare thing in online skincare scenes.

About Lovely Lifestyle
Lovely Lifestyle is a part of the vast conglomerate, Lovely Group of Punjab, the parent company of ventures like Lovely Professional University (LPU), Lovely Sweets, Lovely Autos, Lovely Bake Studio & many more. The website combines two great needs of the present age- online shopping and Organic living.

On the homepage you will see 'What's New?' list. Like wise they have a section dedicated for Shop by Concern, Shop by Ingredients. I have compiled a list of sections with the screenshot of each section below.

 Wedding Collection

Top 35 Products

Now coming to the website efficiency, the website works quite nicely and I didn't face any problems while browsing or going through products. My order was placed on behalf of me so I cannot really comment on the actual payment transactions and all. But they do have flexible payment options and they also accept COD for some products. Many products which I browsed through said 'COD not available'.

Below are the payment methods mentioned on the website and you can also check their shipping charges mentioned on the website.

Once we register on the website we receive a welcome email on the registered email address. Same is the case with mobile message. I had ordered products from different brands so I received each order separately. No wonder I received email as well as a message at every point of the shipping. After successful delivery of each  product I received a message and email. The website is excellent in terms of functionality, design, user friendliness as well as customer services.

However one thing bothered me, some products were sold in a pack of two. For example - Raw Rituals eye cream pack was sold in pack of two. It's okay if we have someone to share it with us, but a single pack should also be available if someone wants to really buy the product. If a first timer wants to try out a new brand they would definitely not buy a pack of 2. Other than this I really didn't have any complaints or problems with the website. Also another important thing is the website boasts of both organic and natural products. We have to make a choice whether to buy fully natural or organic brand products.

Oh forgotπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ what all I shopped

Kaya Hair Clinic Anti Dandruff shampoo
I really want to get rid of my chronic dandruff. So ordered this one. Originally I had ordered for Soul tree antidandruff shampoo, but since the brand recently revamped their packaging it was out of stock and I had to order this one.

Kronokare Lavender body lotion
I never tried this brand so thought of giving it a try. Nonetheless am very impressed with the body lotion. Might explore this brand more.

Omved Nagarmotha Face Mask
My undying love for face packs made me order this. I have tried Omved Facial cleanser earlier and liked it. So thought of giving it a try.

My order was packed neatly, as stated earlier each one arrived separately and safely. The Kaya shampoo and Kronokare lotion both were bubble wrapped whereas Omved face pack was packed in a box, since it a dry commodity.

Overall I was happy with my shopping and services provided by Lovelylifestyle.com and am looking forward to buy some of my favourite brands. If you are not bothered by the paraben wave then you can treat this website as any other normal website.

Leave your comments below and let me know if you have shopped with them or planning to do so.

NB - I was offered free shopping in exchange of honest website review. Order was placed on behalf of me.

Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water Review

I hadn't been into rosewater much, rather I never felt the need to use. My first stint with pure rose water was Ma Earth Botanicals Rose Water. Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water Review

Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water Review

Brand claims -
A wonderful Rose water that is made from the roses of Kannauj - a region in North India, rich in white soil conductive to roses' growth. The Kannauj rose is considered special due to its similarity to the Bulgarian rose. The steam distillation process used to create this water ensures a high level of hygiene and unmatched purity. Rose water is a natural astringent that balances and restores skin's PH level, helps tighten pores and acts as the perfect alcohol-free toner for oily or acne-prone skin. Its light cleansing and clarifying action helps in removing cleanser residue while readying the skin for further skincare treatment. A refreshing spritz that can be used to refresh the skin at any time of the day

Ingredients - Steam distilled Pure Rose water

My experience with Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water
As you can see in the pictures the rose water is packaged in a sleek pump up plastic bottle which is very travel friendly and light weight. The pump works just fine and the cap is tight enough to prevent any damage to the pump.

The rose water smells of fresh roses. It feels as if you are smelling a fresh red roses bouquet. The rose water after spraying on face gives a heavenly cooling effect. Sometime back my face turned a bit red due to a highly comdogenic nightcream. When I used Kama Ayurveda Rose Water after cleansing, the redness subdued immediately and gave me a cooling effect. It also had a bit tightening effect on my skin, although temporarily.

Some days back for one week after washing my face I religiously sprayed it on my face and found a noticeable difference in my face in terms of pores. Kama Ayurveda Rose Water has replaced my toner and so far my pores have shrinked a bit. Overall I am totally loving the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water for it efficiency as a mutli tasker for my troubled skin 😊😊.

Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water Review
I would totally recommend the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water for it's efficiency as a skincare saviour. The toning, astringent, cooling properties of the rose water makes it a winner in terms of a great skincare product. Although it is on a bit pricey side, it is free from artificial fragrances, colours and preservatives. It will surely last longer and won't disappoint any skincare addict.

Clickoncare(dot)com Shopping experience

Hey gals,

After becoming a skincare enthusiast I always scout for new websites offering different brands. We all know about major shopping portals offering skincare and makeup products. Today I will be reviewing a website which I personally feel is a heaven for skincare, and that is Clickoncare.com. Now you might say what is so unusual regarding the website to call it as a heaven for skincare. Let me tell you they stock up products from over 700 brand, yes you heard (rather read) it right.

Let's get into how the website is and how their services are.

The website is very simple with a fuschia pink layout, easy to navigate and user friendly. They absolutely have no gifs for menus or brand pages. This makes the website load fast. However I personally feel an attractive makeover for website wouldn't harm 😣. Also the website needs to be optimized for mobiles or tablets.

Coming to my shopping experience, due to the easy navigation, the product search process was easy. Once you register on the website you rece a welcome SMS on your smartphone as well as a welcome e-mail on registered email address. While I was searching for some particular products through the search tab, the products didn't appear in the search suggestions. The reason being those products were out of stock. This shows that the website is excellent in terms of functionality πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ. Products which are out of stock are duly marked.

Once you place an order you receive an SMS as well as an email regarding order confirmation. Further as your order is processed you receive SMS as well as e-mails at every point of order processing. They offer free shipping over 1499 INR and free COD over orders 1999 (post discounts). I feel these threshold limits for these should be reduced by some amounts. Also I feel it would be great if they offer discounts on combos of same brand products and also offer discounts in inbox of loyal customers.

Now let's head onto the products which I have shopped from them.

Ducray Keracnyl Foaming gelWhen I read Aditi from Serene Sparkle blog's review about this, I knew I had to try it once. After a quick brainstorming session with my 2 fellow bloggers I zeroed in on this and bought.
Tone n Glo facewash
This facewash is very similar to the Bajaj Nomarks facewash and I needed to try some drugstore facewash as I never tried any. So I bought this, and so far it hasn't let me down.
Figaro Olive Oil
I love massaging my skin and hair with this oil. I also use it for DIY of facemaskes. 😎
Cetaphil Moisturising lotionMy HG lotion and needed one for these harsh winters. Although it is a bit sticky but nonetheless it hydrates intensively.

I will be doing a detailed review of all these products so stay tuned for them. Also now let's talk about the packaging and shipping of products. My orders came in neat bubble wrapped and were packaging in an outer plastic cover. I placed my order on 3rd November 2016 and received it on 7th November 2016. Pretty quick na πŸ˜€!!

Payment options

Overall I am highly impressed with the website Clickoncare.com due to the variety of brands they have. You will never find any reason for not shopping with them. I am looking forward to buying from them some of my favourite brands like Auravedic, Vedantika Herbals and Fuschia 😊. Moreover they have various payment options like card payments, Paytm, Mobikwik, COD which caters to everyone's needs.

How about you? Check their website once and tell me you were tempted to buy anythingπŸ˜‰.

Luke Aloe Essence Mask (Super Moisturizing) Skin18.com Review

Hey gals,

It time for another review of a face mask which I received from Skin18.com. Read onto know why I wouldn't recommend the mask.

Brand Claims
This water-soluble essence mask sheet pack is designed to deeply moisturize and condition the skin using concentrated natural plant extracts that help the skin absorb nutrients. Containing extracts help to soften the skin and is excellent in helping to heighten your skins moisture holding capacity. Containing extracts also can help to keep skin healthy looking and elastic. Overall natural Moisturizers increase and maintain facial elasticity and remove impurities. A highly enriched skin vitality material penetrates deeply into the skin. Refreshes, soothes and firms tired skin, and improves elasticity.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene, Glycol, Betaine, Glycereth-26, Panthenol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (25mg), Cucumis Sativus (cucumber) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recuitia (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Solanum Tuberosum (Potato) Pulp Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder (2mg), Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Phalaenopsis Amabilis Extract, Calanthe Discolor Extract, Pinus Densiflora Extract, Cymbidium Kanarn Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycymhizate, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polysorbate 80, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA

My experience
As seen in the pictures the mask is available in a packaging and is one time use mask. The pouch is compact and hence travel friendly. The mask is made up of cotton so as to increase the absorption of the essence. The essence has a medium gel consistency and is opaque in nature. As soon as you remove the mask a fresh floral fragrance hits you and after going through the ingredients list I got to know that it contains fragrance.

The mask after applying drips the essence if we sit upright. After using the mask I also dabbed the essence on my akin. I applied a thick layer and then massaged it into the skin. After 5 minutes rinsed with cold water.

After rinsing my skin felt soft, smooth, evened out and had a subtle glow. The glow lasted a few hours say 1-2 hours. But the moisturizing effect wasn't up to the mark since this mask is said to be super Moisturising. It moisturised my skin for around 4-5 hours. Even after washing my face with facewash afterwards my skin felt parched and I needed a moisturizer. The moisturizing effect does not deep down the skin and is superficial.

Also the directions for usage say that apply a moisturizer after cleansing and then apply the mask. What is the use of the mask when I need to apply a moisturizer before using it?

The In
  • Travel friendly packaging
  • Budget friendly
  • Amazing floral fragrance
  • Gives instant moisturizing effect which lasts little less
  • Makes the skin even toned, smooth and soft
  • Gives a subtle glow to the skin with just one use
  • Gets absorbed easily and dries up quickly
  • Gives a cooling effect to the skin
  • Freshens up the skin

The Out
  • Didn't give intense moisturizing effects as claimed
  • One mask is insufficient for showing long term effects
  • Contains fragrance

Price, shelf life and availability - $1.65 with a shelf life of 3 years and available on skin18.com

I would recommend the mask for it's okay sort moisturizing effects as a good to go option while travelling. I would like to try other variants as this didn't make me happy as other face masks. This is the first time am not happy with a Korean face mask. If you get it as a freebie, try it, else don't invest your money.

VanityCask Subscription Box Review

Subscription boxes are a great option to try out products first and then decide whether you want to buy the full sized product or not. Moreover the box price covers the products' price you receive, rather you receive greater value products in the box. Today I will be unboxing one such new subscription box called VanityCask.

VanityCask is a beauty box that gets delivered to your home periodically. It
contains samples of luxury beauty brands, handpicked by experts,to suit Indians. The first box, for example, contains 5 skincare samples from international brands such as Clinique,Vichy, Votre,Kama Ayurveda and Thalgo. VanityCask, will periodically release new boxes, for different categories, with new brands and products like the Haircare Box and Bath and Body Box,which are going to be launched next.

Who doesn't love travel friendly, compact, sample packaging? VanityCask is different from other subscription boxes in a way because they are in the market for a reason. Before spending a huge amount on luxury beauty brands, see if the sample works well for you. Moreover there are limited stores in India to try out samples of these luxury beauty brands.

How VanityCask works?

The box is packaged in a black box which can serve as a travel companion for skincare. The products were housed in a bright pink silk potli. I am totally sold out on the packaging. The box was carefully bubble wrapped to prevent any direct damage to the box. You can buy your VanityCask box here. The box costs 999 INR and the product value is more than enough to cover the box price.

As of now they don't have monthly or quarterly or yearly subscriptions. They have periodical subscriptions and one needs to subscribe to the website to get notified about further boxes. Moreover you pay only on delivery because as of now they don't accept online payments.

Let us divulge into the details of the first ever VanityCask box which is a skincare box.

  • Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse off Formula
  • Votre Absolute Hydration Moisturizer
  • Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream
  • Thalgo Ultra Hydra Marine Mask
  • Vichy Ideal Soleil SPF 50+

Overall I was quite happy with the box content as I have never ever tried any international brand other than Kama Ayurveda. The Kama Ayurveda sample in the box is too small considering the fact that it's a night cream. Since a decision on night creams might not be made in 5-7 applications. Moreover the Vichy sample is also too small to make an impression. All other samples are fine and am really excited to try out the Votre moisturizer as well as the Thalgo mask.

Have you checked the VanityCask subscription box? I am excited for the Bath and Body box edition of VanityCask πŸ’žπŸ’ž

Vedic Collection Tatha Clay Mask Normal Review

Aren't we all always looking out for new face washes or face masks to try out? These two products leave full room for experiments and we cannot get enough of them. I personally am a face mask lover and love indulging in some relaxing face therapy. Today's review is about a multi utility face mask.

Brand claims - this clay mask is soft and silky for sensitive skin and is the most gentle out of all the clays. It is very mild, nurturing and is particularly good for all skin types exfoliating and cleaning gently.

Ingredients -
DM water, Glycerin, kaolin, bentonite, calamine, Glyceryl monostearate, arlacel 165, Flexan li, Xanthan Gum, zinc oxide, cetostearyl alcohol, EDTA, Fullers Earth, Soy protein, Cucumber extract, Wheatgerm oil, Liquorice extract, Apple extract, Water Melon extract, 2-Phenoxyethanol.

My experience
The face mask is housed in a dark coloured glass jar and has a thick plastic lid. The jar also has an inner pull up plastic lid which is supposed to prevent leakage. However when I received the PR sample some amount of product had been deposited on the inber side of outer lid. This leads to wastage of product. The glass jar has attractive appearance and makes you want to purchase the product immediately.

The mask has a runny, smooth consistency and this makes it very easy to apply. The mask has a pale pink colour and the colour is attributed to zinc oxide as well as calamine in it. After applying a thin layer the mask dries up quickly like just 5 minutes. The mask doesn't dry out the skin not does it make the skin stretchy. However when I first applied the mask on my face the sensitive area near my nose had a burning sensation and then after some one minute it subsided. Product lasts longer since a thin layer does the trick.

Now the after effects. The face feels clean and soft after washing off. The mask gives an instant soothing, glowing, smooth, even toned skin. I also noticed some lightening in my acne marks after around third use. The mask also makes the dead skin cells soft so that we can buff them away. Once when I tried the facemask without exfoliating, I experienced this. The mask is a multi utility product which makes the skin soft, buffs away dead skin cells, lightens the acne marks. Moreover the mask feels hydrating for the skin. However it shoes no effects on pigmentation. But that's not a problem since it doesn't claim to do so.

The In
  • Contains some fine Clay like Kaolin, Bentonite, Fullers earth
  • Contains Calamine, Cucumber, glycerin which are soothing in nature
  • Contains Liquorice extract
  • Gives smooth, soft skin
  • Has exfoliating as well as cleansing properties
  • Free from parabens
  • Lightens acne marks with regular use
  • Doesn't dry out the skin
  • Smooth, even consistency makes application very, very easy

The Out
  • Glass packaging is a bit risky for travelling
  • Inner lid leaks the product while transportation
  • Quantity offered according to price is less

Price, shelf life and availability - 525 INR for 50gm with a shelf life of 18 months. Available on major skincare shopping portals and vedic-collection.com

The Tatha Clay Mask Normal is suitable for all skin types and is a multi utility product due to it's exfoliating, cleansing and lightening properties. However I feel the quantity offered is less for the price tag. I would repurchase for a discounted price and the mask gets a big thumbs up from Skincare Villa😊😊.

Guler Citronella Handmade Soap Review

You all know how much I love handmade soaps. I am back with one more review of Guler Citronella soap. Guler is new launch by Aster Luxury Soaps. Let's head onto the review to see how this soap fares. Citronella oil is also a plant-based insect repellent.

Ingredients - Extra Virgin Coconut Oil,  Sorbitol, Castor Oil, Myristic Acid, Cocoamido, Propyl Betaine, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Citronella Fragrance

My experience
I have already reviewed their Apple Lemon variant, so I wouldn't go deeper in terms of packaging. The packaging is simple with product labels on both the sides of the soap.
The soap is milky white in colour and rectangular in shape. Basically the Citronella oil is used as an insect repellent, moreover mosquito repellent. The fragrance is very mild and am unable to describe it, but it is surely good for the senses.

As stated in my earlier review, the soap lathers well and creates a frothy foam. The soap cleanses the skin quite well and makes the skin feel squeaky clean. The fragrance is not at all lingering, just the way I like. The soap gets washed off easily as well. The soap is value for money according to me as it is decently priced and performs a good job.

The In
  • Contains Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Castor Oil
  • Doesn't strip natural oil from body
  • Lathers quite well
  • Foams well and makes frothy foam
  • Cleanses the skin well
  • Makes the skin fresh and clean
  • Gets washed off easily
  • Doesn't contain harmful fillers
  • Mild, non lingering fragrance

The Out
  • I didn't find any

Price, shelf life and availability - 60 INR for 75 grams with a shelf life of 2 years. Available on Aster Luxury website.

Yes I would recommend the Guler Citronella soap for it's effectiveness and decent price. However I cannot comment on the mosquito repellent part of the fragrance as I haven't used it keeping that in mind. The soap is a good option to try out for handmade soap.

As seen in the pictures the product is packaged in a flip cap tube which makes carrying around easy and spillage proof too. The cap is tight enough and the tube has attractive packaging colour combination.

The facewash is of shaving cream consistency and looks same like one. The facewash has an amazing girly fragrance. The fragrance doesn't linger much after washing face. The facewash takes some time to dispense through the tube and we need to tightly squeeze the tube in order to dispense. The facewash doesn't foam at all, at least in hard water supply. I haven't tried in normal drinking water supply. Since it doesn't foam I end up dispensing more than enough quantity.

Coming to the effects of the facewash after washing off the skin feels soft, supple and thoroughly cleansed. The face gets an instant glow (temporary) and you immediately end up falling in love with the after effects of the facewash. The facewash glides like a butter on face cleansing it thoroughly while leaving behind hydrated skin. Facewash gets washed off easily and feels buttery on face when we try to foam it.

Ethicare Remedies Lipz Lip Moisturiser With SPF 15 Review
The lip balm is quite affordable and works well. Considering the fact that it is fragrance, preservatives free it is a good lip balm plus has added benefit of SPF 15. Reapplication is needed after 5-6 hours which is a good thing for a lip balm. However the lip balm contains mineral oil and ingredients list mentioned is not full. If you are looking for an affordable lip balm which works well for winters and don't mind reapplication then this is a good to go lip balm.

My random festive haul (small 😊)

Hello All,

How were the Diwali celebrations? Shopping, decorating home, having fun with friends and family, making (or ordering sweets) et al. I wish you all a happy and prosperous Diwali and a very Happy New Year ahead.

With all the ongoing festival sales on major shopping portals, I thought of buying some products. Out of all the products only 3 are repurchases and other products are first timers for me and from various brand. Moreover one order is from Amazon, other one is from Purplle and one from hypermarket 😁. Let's get into the haul. Let me tell you all that I have shopped for some random outfits. Also I thought of wearing my favourite saree for this festive season. Also did I tell you, for the first time I prepared Diwali sweets all by myself (ofcourse with the guidance of my Mom πŸ˜‰). Sorry, we were talking about my random festive haul.

Auravedic Anti Blemish Face Mask
This is my second repurchase. However maybe my skin  condition this face mask just makes it right. All my pimples, zits, acne marks it heals all 😊😊. When I tried this mask for the first timd when I was sent a PR sample. Thereafter once I repurchased, but with the ongoing sales I thought of stocking it up. It cost me 162 INR per tub on Amazon. So I bought 2 tubs 😁😁.

Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream
I was looking for a budget friendly night cream from a long time. I had earlier used Fuschia Garden Lavender Night Cream and liked it very much, but it's way beyond my budget 😒. I didn't even think twice before buying this when my favourite blogger Nivedita from Makeupandchitchat.com suggested me to use this. Already using it and so far it works like a charm.

Iraya Kesahvardhak Taila
While we all experience 3 seasons all around the year, my hair know only one season, Fall 😒😒😒. With my ongoing hairfall problem, I thought of giving this a try. If you might be following my blog regularly you might know I very rarely review haircare products as I am scared of experiments on hair. Let see how this works, will be posting full review soon.

Biotique Whitening and Depigmentation face pack
I have never tried any Biotique product so this is my first stint with the brand. Hope this product turns out well for my skin. Will be posting a full review after using 😊.

Auravedic Moisturizing lotion
I simply added this to my cart as these days my dry hands needed a light body lotion. After using handmade soaps I am not much into lotions. Again this is from my favourite brand Auravedic. Basically I didn't read the whitening effects of this lotion but I didn't purchase it with anything as such in mind.

Bajaj Nomarks facewash
I so so love this facewash. I have already reviewed it on my blog. I thoroughly liked the facewash and when again I spotted a new packaging I immediately grabbed it. I love how my skin experiences lesser breakouts with this one as compared to other facewashes. It is a second repurchase for me 😊.

Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Body Lotion
I have repurchased it for second time (a bigger bottle) and I love the subtle fragrance of this lotion. I have to still review the lotion on the blog. So stay tuned for this one 😊.

So this was my small haul for this festive season. I was tempted to buy many other things, but since I haven't emptied any products, I refrained from buying random stuff. Also let me know if you want any particular review from above mentioned earliest, will try posting soon.
