Natural Bath and Body French Red Clay Review

Natural Bath and Body has some gem products. I have seen my fellow bloggers Dona, Shwetali and Dipti rave about this product. Dona always stocks up on this product. As of Shwetali and Dipti they have tried it for first time and liked the product. I thought of giving it a try when I glanced upon it, on Aplava.com and so I ordered it, you can check my Aplava shopping haul here. Let's dig into the review to see whether the product lives upto it's claims or not.

Brand claims
Like the special clay masks that were a favourite with the Egyptian goddess Cleopatra, our French Red Clay mask never fails to soften your skin, preserve its complexion and impart a natural glow. It is a gentle paste of French Red Clay, which is an absolute powerhouse of iron and other minerals! Best suited for normal to oily skin types, it cleanses, detoxifies and exfoliates the skin, leaving it highly refreshed and toned. The clay is blended with organic Rose oil, virgin Coconut oil and the balancing Cedar wood essential oils. As the oils further nourish the skin, Turmeric powder and Sandalwood give it a distinctive radiance.

Avoiding the eye area, apply the pack evenly on the face. Leave on for 10 minutes allowing the pack to dry and tighten. Rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Purified Water, Kaolin, Fullers Earth, Propanediol, Vegatable Glycerine, Isopropyl Myristate, Virgin Coconut Oil, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Corn Starch, Gum Acacia, Heptyl Undecylenate, Zinc Oxide, Red Clay, Glyceryl Caprylate & Glyceryl Undecylenate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate,Gramflour, Turmeric Powder, White Sandalwood Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Carrot Seed Oil, Beet root Powder, Sodium Gluconate, Rose oil, Cedarwood Oil

My experience
The mask is packaged in a signature tub packaging of Natural Bath and Body. Plastic packaging makes it light to carry around during travelling. The tub also had a silver foil lining to prevent product leakage, however I have removed it hence it's missing in the pictures.

Now coming to the consistency the mask is very moist and smooth in texture. It gets applied readily onto the skin with ease. The colour is beetroot red and being said that don't be under an impression that all the credit of the colour goes to red clay. Since the ingredients list mentions beet root powder the appearance of the mask is beetroot red. Oh the fragrance, it is so rosy and sweet that sometimes I feel like eating it. However I control my temptations and concentrate on my skin concerns.

The business part, the mask claims exactly what it does, or should I say it does what it claims. Post application it gives soft, supple and smooth skin. It also imparts a natural glow to the skin and thoroughly cleanses it. When I tried it for the first time a felt a little tingling sensation and I kept the mask for only 10 minutes. On some occasions I have seen some dead skin cells while drying my face post application of the facepack. It has some amazing ingredients and essential oils which help the facial skin in the long run.

This mask may not be suitable for dry skinned beauties as it sometimes dries up the skin if left for a longer time on the skin. But since we all know, almost all clays are drying in nature. Overall a highly recommended facepack for natural glow and real nourishment for the skin.
